Requirements:
Paintings and Photographs:
- No size limit
- No more than 3 canvases per participant
- Must be done on canvas
- Include signature
- Submit a clear picture
Drawings/Sketches:
- Must be done on paper (cardstock, construction paper, sketchbook, mixed media paper)
- No more than three pieces per participant
- Include signature
- Submit a clear picture
Ceramics/Pottery:
- No more than 24in tall and 12in wide
- Submit a clear picture
Poetry:
- Times New Roman 12
- Double spaced
- Maximum 2 pages
- Titled
- Include author name
- Submit as PDF
Short Stories:
- Minimum 3 pages, maximum 5 pages
- Times New Roman 12
- Double spaced
- Titled

“Hidden Figures, Bold Futures: Latinos Beyond the Lens”
Description:
“Hidden Figures, Bold Futures: Latinos Beyond the Lens” is an art exhibition that celebrates the powerful stories of Latinos who are breaking barriers in fields where their presence is often overlooked. Through paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, and more, this exhibit shines a light on the hidden figures shaping academia, politics, engineering, medicine, and other influential industries. By capturing their journeys and achievements, the exhibition aims to inspire bold futures and redefine what Latino representation looks like in spaces beyond the traditional lens. We invite artists to portray Latinos thriving in roles and fields where they are rarely seen, challenging stereotypes and expanding the narrative of Latino excellence.
